Photography is my profession and my passion! My philosophy:
to make the world a better place by sharing creative, technically strong images that evoke emotion and provide value to people. If it's not fun, why do it? Thats my motto, for sure... as I'm really having fun doing this!
I use mostly Nikon cameras and lenses for my assignments.
For lighting I use what's available, plus reflectors, constant light sources, strobes, and softboxes.
I don't put much stock in "credentials" but I am proud to
have a certificate in Professional Photography from the New York Institute of Photography. On-going education in seminars at WPPI and NAPP are a MUST, in my opionion. I am very happy to have spent some time with Monte Zucker and can recommend his work and those of his contemporaries Clay Blackmore and David Ziser. They are all great teachers!
I seldom compete - as my personal thought is that I am only competing with myself - always working for constant improvement - but I can lay claim to:
1st place, 2003 Family Living category, Champlain Valley Expo
3rd place, 2003 Stylized Computer Art, Champlain Valley Expo
2nd place, 2004 Family Living category, Champlain Valley Expo
Merit, 2006 Manipulated Photos, Champlain Valley Expo
Janet and her niece, from the first wedding I ever photographed. A special day for all of us!
